The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the International Erosion Control Association will be holding it’s 25th Annual Environmental Conference & Tradeshow in Camp Hill, PA from September 18th-20th this year. We welcome all college students to attend day 1 of our conference for FREE this year to attend technical learning sessions, network, learn about our industry and learn about what a membership can do to help them find a job. on This year’s conference will center around higher education in our industry while maintaining focus on the four IECA’s 4 Educational Tracks of erosion and sediment control, stormwater management, MS4’s and surface water restoration.
Professional Development Hours will be provided for all technical sessions.
Currently, the Mid-Atlantic Chapter IECA is accepting abstracts and presentations for the conference in September 2018. Are you working on research that fits into one of the 4 educational tracks listed above? If so please submit an abstract for consideration in our technical program. Deadline to submit is May 31st, 2018.
Abstracts should be conformance with IECA’s 4 Educational Tracks
- Coastal resiliency planning, practices and approaches. (HOT TOPIC)
- Research and Innovation from Colleges and Universities throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region (Professors, students are faculty urged to submit!) (HOT TOPIC)
- Regional responses and methods for implementation of stormwater, sediment control, LID/green infrastructure and stream restoration projects
- Innovative approaches, planning and securing funding for MS4 permit compliance, implementation personnel and meeting restoration requirements. (HOT TOPIC)
- Innovative planning, designs and installation of sediment control BMP’s and/or plans.
- Case studies and virtual tours of Mid-Atlantic region stormwater, sediment control, LID/green infrastructure and stream restoration projects.

2018 Annual MAC Golf Tournament
The 2018 Annual MAC Golf Tournament will be held at Dauphin Highlands (650 S Harrisburg Street, Harrisburg, PA, 17113). This year’s tournament will commence on Tuesday, September 18th at 10:00 am set as the first tee time.
From a challenging par 3 of 172 yards to a wide-open par 5 of 541-yards, Dauphin Highlands provides the opportunity for you to experience every facet of the intricate game of golf. Our signature hole, the 17th, is a par 3 of breath-taking natural beauty requiring each player to tee off over a natural ravine onto a gently sloping green.
Distance from Radisson is about 8 miles (shortest route) and roughly 20 or so minutes away.
The cost will be $70.00 per player and includes greens fee, ½ cart and box lunch.

EnviroCert will be offering General Principle Reviews and Exams at the 2017 MAC-IECA Conference. Advanced Registration is required for both and an approved application is required to take the exam. This application must be submitted thirty (30) days in advance to allow time for review and approval.
